Nurse Educator

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Frisco is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Educator and Quality Specialist in Surgical Services. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with the Surgical Services Management Team, Quality, and IT departments to develop and implement education for staff, physicians, and patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement education programs for staff, physicians, and patients
- Facilitate the orientation of new employees to the unit and assist with staff competency validation
- Assist the Quality department with reviewing medical records and collecting data for compliance measures
- Orient and educate new physicians to Surgical Services
- Assist with special projects and hospital initiatives assigned by the Director of Surgical Services
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of expertise
- BLS certification
- CNOR certification or obtained within the first year
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Computer skills with Word and Excel
