Job Summary

The Parts Delivery Driver provides exceptional service to wholesale customers by delivering parts to their place of business in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Retrieve purchased parts from inventory or notify the parts department counter/warehouse representative if the requested parts are not available
  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, using good judgment and safe driving skills at all times
  • Keep a timely delivery route and advise the employer of the time of departure and arrival
  • Communicate with the dealership or other vehicles to report any disruptions of service
  • Keep a record of trips and notify the dispatcher or service manager of any servicing the delivery vehicle may require
  • Perform general cleanup of assigned vehicles, including dusting, vacuuming, wiping, and rinsing
  • Keep assigned vehicles neat and organized, filling them with fuel and operating all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Use proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with wholesale customers, understanding and following work rules and procedures
  • Follow all attendance and punctuality standards, adhering to timekeeping standards and following lawful directions from supervisors
  • Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements, working evening, weekend, and holiday work hours as required
  • Complete all documents, forms, and reports in accordance with company policy, understanding and complying with federal, state, and local regulations that affect parts operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional appearance
