Job Summary:

The Parts Runner is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for the efficient and accurate delivery and pickup of automotive parts within the service departments and parts departments. This position ensures that technicians and service staff have the necessary parts in a timely manner, enabling them to complete their tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver automotive parts, tools, and supplies to service technicians and service departments.
  • Assist in managing inventory by transporting parts to and from storage areas.
  • Organize and maintain an orderly inventory system.
  • Provide excellent customer service to technicians and other staff by ensuring accurate and timely delivery of parts.
  • Address and resolve any issues or questions related to parts delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements.
  • Ensure all paperwork, including delivery logs and parts receipts, is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operate and maintain the company forklift used for deliveries, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Report any forklift issues or maintenance needs to management.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while handling and delivering parts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an automotive parts department or similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good understanding of automotive parts and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
Work Environment:

This role involves working in a warehouse or parts department environment, with moderate noise levels. The position may require exposure to varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots may be required to ensure safety while handling parts and equipment.
