Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Float to join our dynamic team at Baptist Health. As a Medical Assistant Float, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our providers and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate direct patient care activities and provide clinical support to providers
  • Check in patients, obtain vital signs, and perform medication reconciliation
  • Room patients, stock clinic supplies, and navigate electronic health records
  • Schedule appointments, follow up with patients, and assist with medication fill and refill requests
  • Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients, and physicians in a respectful manner
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
  • Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating databases containing highly confidential information
  • Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days
