Clinical Nurse II

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care.
- Evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of care plans, and readiness for discharge, revising plans or making referrals as necessary.
- Act as a role model and mentor to students and nurses new to the unit, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Function as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
- Minimum of six months demonstrated nursing experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a direct patient care position in a Psychiatric inpatient or outpatient setting.
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within 30 days of hire.
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- RN.
- BLS.
