Clinical Nurse II Position

UCI Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team in the Critical Care department. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for assigned patients
- Perform professional nursing duties, incorporating psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills to assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients
- Evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of care plans, and readiness for discharge, revising plans or making referrals as necessary
- Act as a role model and mentor to students and nurses new to the unit
- Function as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager
- Must possess and maintain appropriate certifications (NRP, PALS, etc.) per unit assignment
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
- RN
- BLS
- ACLS
