Job Summary

South Central Human Relations Center is seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to provide community-based rehabilitative services to children and adolescents with mental illness and their families.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their loved ones.

The successful candidate will provide individual, family, and/or group skills training in the client's home, community, or agency setting.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality services and making a positive impact in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally competent mental health skills services to children/adolescents with mental illness and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate group skills training in an agency setting.
  • Maintain accurate records of all billable services and telephone contact with clients and their families.
  • Coordinate treatment planning meetings with clients, families, team members, and natural supports as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or other graduate-level degree in a behavioral science or related field.
  • 2000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illness.
  • Ability to demonstrate independence and initiative in completing job responsibilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices, de-escalation strategies, and techniques.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, reliable vehicle, and willingness to provide transportation for clients.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
