South Central Human Relations Center is seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to provide community-based rehabilitative services to children and adolescents with mental illness and their families.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health services and be able to provide individual, family, and group skills training in a client's home, community, or agency setting.
The purpose of CTSS skills is to restore the social and emotional functioning of the child/adolescent that has been delayed or impaired over the course of a psychiatric illness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide culturally competent mental health skills services to children/adolescents with mental illness and their families.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate group skills training in an agency setting.
- Maintain accurate records of all billable services and telephone contact with clients and families.
- Coordinate treatment planning meetings with clients, families, team members, and natural supports as appropriate.
- Meet the Mental Health Practitioner requirements as per MN State Statute 245I.
- Hold a master's degree or other graduate-level degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields.
- Have 2000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illness.
- Be able to demonstrate independence and initiative in completing job responsibilities and effective verbal and written communication skills.
