Job Summary

MFS Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Pre-Operative Unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of operational aspects of the Pre-Operative Unit, providing mentoring and leadership support to staff.
  • Supervise the provision of quality, therapeutic, and cost-effective patient care in accordance with standards of practice, hospital protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and direct patient care operations for assigned shifts, acting on behalf of the Patient Care Manager.
  • Facilitate orientation, training, and ongoing staff development, assisting in coaching, developing, and corrective action of personnel as appropriate.
  • Participate in ongoing and annual evaluation of employee performance, ensuring the effective delivery of competent, compassionate care.
  • Interpret and implement the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the unit, department, and organization, communicating expectations and monitoring staff performance.
  • Participate in unit goal and program planning, development, and evaluation of programs and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution.
  • RN - Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience, including clinical experience in both Pre-Op and PACU, as well as leadership skills.
