At DICK'S SPORTING GOODS INC, we're passionate about empowering athletes to achieve their goals. As a Retail Sales Lead Footwear Specialist, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth in our footwear department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the hiring process by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Build a positive team culture by fostering mutual trust, respect, and open communication among teammates.
  • Plan and organize daily tasks, game plans, and projects with the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager.
  • Strategically delegate tasks to teammates to ensure brand standards are met and programs are executed daily.
  • Assist with general supervision, including opening and closing the store, performing Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales.
  • Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, and inventory presentation standards.
  • Assist with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates.
  • Maintain company loss prevention standards and controls in the department.
  • Prioritize coaching and developing oneself and others, providing hands-on coaching and teaching the 'why' behind tasks, plans, and processes.
  • Lead by example to support the vision of the organization and store, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align to the common purpose and organizational goals.

Requirements
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail sales experience or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 15-35 lbs. items repetitively.
  • Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time.

Targeted Pay Range: $18 - $26. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
