Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Elixir Developer to join our dynamic Global B2C Technology team, specializing in backend services. This role requires collaboration with a diverse group of professionals, including backend and client developers, project managers, and technical product managers, to create a premier product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of backend services with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Engage in collaborative discussions to evaluate various technical strategies and achieve consensus on the best approaches.
- Ensure comprehensive testing and assist in implementing observability solutions to enhance service reliability.
- Provide on-call support as needed, ensuring system availability and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with modern engineering technologies, including Fastly, AWS, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and GitHub Actions.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Elixir.
- Proficiency in Elixir, Typescript, and GraphQL, with the ability to write SQL queries.
- A strong passion for software engineering and a commitment to code ownership.
- Solid understanding of common software data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in critically evaluating code for learning and safe refactoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and a commitment to practices that support continuous deployment and incremental delivery of business value.
