The Area Facilities Coordinator is essential in delivering exceptional service to our tenants and prospective clients, ensuring their expectations are met with professionalism and positivity. This role supports site teams in a variety of Facilities and Maintenance responsibilities, including hands-on tasks and availability for phone support as required. The primary duties involve enhancing building operations and maintenance across a collection of multifamily properties.

Reporting To: Director of Facilities

Compensation: Exempt/Salary

Gillespie Group requires a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process, along with necessary physical assessments. A valid driver's license, vehicle, and current car insurance are mandatory for this position. The Area Facilities Coordinator must possess their own vehicle and basic tools to fulfill job responsibilities.CORE VALUES:

RESPONSIBILITIES & PROJECTS:
  • Establish and uphold exceptional standards for customer service, property appearance, work orders, and teamwork.
  • Assist in various project-related tasks such as budgeting, bidding, and contractor oversight.
  • Communicate project details to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training and guidance to site teams.
  • Participate in Facilities Department training initiatives and aid in onboarding new staff members.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of company equipment and building systems.
  • Assist with emergency repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all sites.
  • Foster relationships with vendors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; preference for a relevant degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities/maintenance.
  • Ability to manage projects, delegate tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Compliance with safety standards.
Minimum Physical Expectations:
  • Ability to exert force and lift objects.
  • Occasional lifting of heavy objects.
  • Frequent use of standard tools.
  • Travel by car may be required.
  • Ability to perform various physical activities.
