Regional Director of Respiratory Therapy

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Director of Respiratory Therapy to join our team at Generations Healthcare Management LLC. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing clinical direction and education regarding patient care and other respiratory-related diagnoses across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide education to facility staff on respiratory-related services and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist facilities with regulatory issues, including storage and maintenance of respiratory equipment and supplies.
- Participate in various meetings, including regional meetings, QAPI, and morning meetings.
- Work with respiratory vendors to ensure equipment is appropriate and maintained.
- Assist with patient assessments, including oxygen saturation and ventilator patients.
- Educate and assist staff with decannulation and weaning procedures.
- Monitor survey preparedness and assist with implementation of Plan of Corrections.
- Conduct policy and procedure reviews, vent training, and respiratory competencies for nursing staff.
- Provide education to directors and staff nurses as needed.
- Assist with business development for respiratory, tracheostomy, and vent patients.
- Participate in preparations and reviews for operational procedures and calls.
Requirements:
- CRT or RRT license and a graduate of an AMA-approved school for respiratory care.
- NP or RN with acute working knowledge of the field.
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner or other appropriate license in the state employed.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Vent Certified.
- Three years of respiratory therapy experience preferred in a long-term care setting.

- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to organize a schedule and work to meet facility needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills.
