Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Wilkes Barre, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computers when applicable
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and replacing air filters, spark plugs, and other essential components
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, trailers, and other vehicles
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organizing the shop area
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation maintenance, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
