We operate multiple clinics in the region, ensuring accessible healthcare for our patients.
Position Summary:
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is in search of candidates with a strong customer service orientation to support our Orthopedics/Podiatry division. This full-time role requires a commitment of 32 hours per week, from Monday to Thursday.

- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday during the day.
- Experience in both primary and specialty care settings is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly answer incoming calls, assessing patient needs to determine the appropriate appointment type.
- Summarize appointment details before concluding the call.
- Manage all phone functionalities, including transfers, holding callers, and directing calls to the after-hours messaging system.
- Accurately document patient names, contact numbers, and demographic details with correct spelling and punctuation.
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments in accordance with provider preferences and established protocols.
- Exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when screening calls, addressing inquiries, and conveying pertinent information.
- Maintain composure under pressure while upholding excellent phone etiquette with tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Possess strong computer proficiency and data entry capabilities.
- Exhibit strong grammar and spelling skills, along with the ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Maintain a neat appearance and courteous demeanor.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is preferred.
Educational Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates Degree or relevant coursework in Business or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a public-facing role, particularly with extensive phone interaction.
- Prior experience in patient scheduling within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Bi-lingual capabilities (Spanish) are a plus.
Compensation:
- The starting hourly wage for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $21.70 to $25.03.
