Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to manage the strategic planning, scheduling, oversight, and execution of maintenance operations across our facility, which includes both the warehouse and forging areas. This role will involve leading a dedicated team of maintenance professionals, including supervisors, electricians, mechanics, and contractors, to ensure optimal functionality of equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant maintenance software tools.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of standard practices, principles, tools, and equipment used in maintenance trades.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of electric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, and water systems.
  • Recognize occupational hazards and implement safety measures associated with mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Plan and design maintenance projects, interpreting sketches, blueprints, and manuals effectively.
  • Monitor and assess organizational performance to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while managing shifting priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance management or a related field, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Certification as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting industrial machinery.
  • Familiarity with Lean Principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with CMMS is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, alongside maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to assess and enhance organizational performance metrics.
