This position will report directly to the Assistant Maintenance Manager. It is a shared office environment with the other shift maintenance supervisors. The incumbent will provide technical resources and guidance to the departments of Quality, Research and Development, Production, and Warehousing. This is an active environment striving to achieve an effective balance between the manufacturing floor and the office.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule the daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) or Work order (WO) assignment by technician daily.
- Manage maintenance associates with respect to hours, vacations, floor coverage, position placement, motivation and performance daily, weekly and by the month.
- Coach, motivate, train on the job, and assist maintenance associates in job or task related issues in order to build and maintain employee motivation and performance.
- Complete annual performance appraisals on time.
- Maintain ninety (90) plus percent maintenance inventory accuracy through daily parts requisition and quarterly cycle counts.
- Maintain the monthly budget expense on the accounts of Misc Shop Materials, R&M Material Fix, and Hourly Indirect OT.
- Maintain the CMMS on a daily basis with less than a 1.5 % error rate in the Work Order module.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Five (5) to seven (7) Years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or equivalent maintenance environment.
- Electrical distribution low voltage, electrical controls to include PLC's, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical skills, the ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Microsoft Office applications, Computerized Maintenance management systems (CMMS), PLC Software applications, technical reading and writing, leadership, problem solving, budget management.
- Passing score on a pre-employment mechanical aptitude test.
- Passing grade (an 80% score) on an American Institute of Baking "Maintenance Engineering Course", within 24 months of hire date.
- Ability to obtain passport to travel if necessary.
- Valid US driver's license and vehicle to commute to other plant locations.
The plant work environment will expose the employee to loud noise, food grade dust & odors, moving & vibrating machinery, heavy equipment, powered industrial trucks, heights, traffic, anhydrous ammonia, oil and electricity. The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions including extreme cold, heat, rain, snow, dust, smoke and odors.
Allergens found inside the plant include: fish, shellfish, nuts, eggs, wheat, soy, milk and coconut.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, listen, reach with hands and arms, and bend.
The employee is required to use hands to handle, operate, feel objects, tools or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to operate a motor vehicle.
The employee must have visual acuity sufficient to operate a motor vehicle and digital camera, as well as other office and position equipment.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
