Position Responsibilities:
This role is primarily responsible for managing a multi-line telephone system, addressing incoming calls, and directing them to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, this position involves responding to inquiries and providing information to the public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Checking patients in and out of the system
- Inputting insurance details and accurate patient information for billing
- Collecting daily payments, including copays and balances
- Assisting medical assistants in managing patient flow
- Providing information about the organization and guiding callers
- Welcoming visitors, determining their purpose, and notifying relevant staff
- Monitoring visitor access and issuing passes as necessary
- Updating appointment schedules
- Sorting and routing mail, and managing publications
- Maintaining office supplies and equipment
- Verifying patient insurance eligibility for services
- Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with one to three months of related experience or training.
Work Environment:
This position requires adherence to medical clearance protocols, including vaccinations or approved accommodations.
