We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Center Representative II to join our team at UTHealth Houston. As a key member of our healthcare support services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient access center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, including appointment setup and confirmation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in a related field preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting, with a focus on patient access or front office operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and GE Centricity Business, with experience in EHR systems a plus.
