Position Overview: ROCC Operations Specialist IIIn the role of ROCC Operations Specialist II at EDP Renewables North America, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing, directing, and coordinating the management of wind energy assets from the Remote Operations Control Center. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to all relevant NERC standards and practices, optimizing the performance of Wind Power Plants, and managing real-time control center operations to enhance energy output.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise wind farm performance and manage operations across the United States.
- Document outages and execute strategies to enhance plant value.
- Guarantee data precision and system reliability.
- Collaborate with field personnel and emergency response teams.
- Employ SCADA systems for real-time energy management.
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in power system operations.
- Certifications in ROCC and System Operator.
- Understanding of AC theory, power flow, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, communication, and technology.
- Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
- Capacity to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of self-motivation.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
- Proficient in English for reading and verbal communication.
- Capability to lift objects and adhere to safety protocols.
