Job Summary

The Capital Projects Program Manager will oversee the project management program for the Capital Projects Team, supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects at our LNG export facility. This role is critical in establishing and maintaining project management standards, governance, and best practices to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Manager Leadership: Establish and lead the Capital Projects Project Management Program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Develop and Implement Policies: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and methodologies to ensure project management excellence.
  • Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and project management excellence.
  • Project Governance: Define and enforce project governance frameworks, including project charters, risk management, and change control processes in alignment with company's Corporate Project Governance team.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure optimal utilization of project teams.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Support project managers in developing detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with all project stakeholders, including internal teams and contractors.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of Engineering and Project experience, including oil & gas, refinery, and industrial projects.
  • Skills: Strong communication and inter-personal skills, ability to communicate at a senior level, organized, self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Expectations

This role is primarily based at Freeport LNG's Headquarters in Houston, with occasional travel to various company locations, including liquefaction and pretreatment facilities near Freeport TX.
