Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead novel external project proposals to advance AM technology
- Collaborate with government, industry, academic, and RTX Business Unit partners to develop whitepapers, project concepts, and responsive proposals
- Lead process development activity to improve print capability, increase speed, reduce cost and enhance material performance in support of advanced RTX Business Unit product initiatives
- Develop and utilize advanced tools and equipment to characterize machines and process space
- Work with cross-functional teams including materials, design, simulation, operations, and characterization engineers to support and improve the full value stream
- Support RTX Business Units by providing process expertise and best practices
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and hands-on experience working with laboratory equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment focused on innovation
- Demonstrated experience writing proposals and leading complex R&D projects as Principal Investigator
- Presentation, planning, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
- Experience with advanced build processors including tool path development and implementation
- Scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar
- Experience with software and tools used in Additive Manufacturing including CAD packages
- Hands-on experience with metal laser powder-bed-fusion AM equipment
- Working understanding of AM machine sensors and control systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Organizational and time management skills
- A desire to learn something new every day

Salary RangeThe salary range for this role is $96,000 USD - $200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
