About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Additive Manufacturing Process and Capability Center, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced additive manufacturing processes and technologies to support our business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced additive manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Lead projects to advance the industrialization of additive manufacturing at RTX
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and standards
  • Work with internal and external groups to develop whitepapers, project concepts, and responsive proposals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience or a PhD
  • Deep technical writing and research skills with strong presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, and project management skills
  • Scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar and experience with software and tools used in Additive Manufacturing including CAD packages
  • Hands on experience with metal laser powder-bed-fusion AM equipment and a basic understanding of low voltage sensors and control systems
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
