Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct computer simulations of hydraulic systems, including water distribution networks, pumps, sewage systems, stormwater management, and drainage designs.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations to support the design of various hydraulic infrastructures.
  • Draft technical documentation for studies and design projects.
  • Ensure precision, adherence to engineering standards, and comprehensive documentation in reports and design tasks.
  • Analyze alternatives, address technical challenges, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Interpret engineering specifications and drawings, suggest design modifications, and coordinate with the design team.
  • Identify engineering challenges and propose solutions to engineering managers, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective project execution.
  • Collaborate with design teams on infrastructure projects related to hydraulic systems, water distribution, sewage collection, stormwater management, and erosion control.
  • Engage potential clients, assist in proposal development, and participate in project interviews.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in hydrology and hydraulics.
  • Engineer in Training certification (or completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam) is required; Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficiency in hydrology and hydraulics software, along with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, InfoWater, SWMM, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS is advantageous.
  • Experience with MIKE URBAN and/or MIKE+ software is preferred.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project work and knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, grading, drainage, and related structures is preferred.
  • This position may require occasional travel, approximately 10-15%.
