The Opportunity

We're seeking a Mid-level Retirement Income Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the financial security of our membership by assessing their current retirement income needs, providing expert advice, and making tailored recommendations based on their individual circumstances.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of retirement income planning, annuities, and executive and retirement benefits for federal and military employees. You'll work closely with our members to understand their goals, financial situations, and risk tolerance, and develop personalized retirement income strategies to help them achieve their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on retirement income planning, annuities, and executive and retirement benefits for federal and military employees.
  • Assess member's current retirement income needs and develop tailored recommendations based on their individual circumstances.
  • Work closely with members to understand their goals, financial situations, and risk tolerance.
  • Develop and communicate personalized retirement income strategies to help members achieve their objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest retirement strategy research and legislative initiatives that may impact the economy, society, and personal financial situations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
  • Required maintenance of Life/Health license.
  • Required maintenance of FINRA Series 7 license.
  • Required maintenance of FINRA Series 66 (or 63 and 65) license.
  • Must be able to successfully pass background check and meet all USAA and regulatory requirements.
  • 4 years of financial industry and/or sales experience.
  • Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication.
  • Experience processing and analyzing information.
  • Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience resolving conflict and negotiating.
  • Experience multi-tasking in an operating systems environment.
  • Experience participating in or leading teams.

What We Offer:

USAA offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $124,330.00, depending on experience and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k), pension, life insurance, parental benefits, adoption assistance, paid time off program with paid holidays plus 16 paid volunteer hours, and various wellness programs.
