Patient Admissions Specialist

As a Patient Admissions Specialist, your primary responsibility is to warmly welcome patients to our healthcare facility and assist them throughout the admission process, ensuring a seamless transition into their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an exceptional experience for incoming patients
  • Thoroughly complete and verify admission documentation for accurate patient data
  • Input patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Process payments at the time of service utilizing the EMR system
  • Support the scheduling of follow-up appointments
  • Manage phone inquiries and perform administrative tasks as needed

Location-Specific Duties:

For Cardiology Services:

  • Facilitate lab requests and liaise with referring healthcare providers

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a comparable position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel to nearby practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 2 years of experience in clinical environments
  • Background in Cardiac Healthcare
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems

Physical Demands:

This role involves sitting, walking, standing, and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

Standard medical practice atmosphere.
