About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and reassess patients to identify and initiate appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families on disease management and self-care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
  • IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred.
  • Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Our hospital provides comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to patients with a wide range of conditions, including stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
