About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director, Global Operations Strategy to join our team at The Emmes Company, LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global commercial processes and leading the development of a differentiated win strategy for business opportunities focused on ophthalmic diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Global Commercial Process Development
    • Optimize and oversee the RFP to final proposal process specific to Ophthalmology.
    • Develop and implement a vendor checklist to complete at the beginning of the bid process.
    • Provide a checklist with assumptions to proposal managers to obtain quotes.
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Provide leadership to biopharma proposal writers/managers.
    • Develop and implement the differentiated win strategy specific to the opportunity and customer.
    • Collaborate across functional groups to assess and mitigate operational risks in the development of the clinical strategy and potential recruitment rates and overall timelines for scope of work.
  • Clinical Operations
    • Participate in the Ophthalmology Therapeutic Area as a subject matter expert.
    • Identify target customers and participate in client calls, bid defenses, and relevant conferences.
    • Optimize the handover process upon award to clinical operations and other stakeholders.
  • Team Management
    • Liaise with resourcing heads to identify staffing per the statement of work and within Sponsor timelines.
    • Develop and implement a process for project kick-off.
    • Prepare clinical and project management teams for the launch of project activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of progressive experience in global clinical trial operations.
  • Previous experience leading a team of strategic professionals.
  • Previous experience within various areas of global clinical trial operations - specific to Ophthalmology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
