Job Summary

The Global PR Director at ZeniMax Media is responsible for setting the overall global communications strategy and direction for the company's games, brand, and internal communications. This role involves building and managing a top-class global PR team to drive awareness and player engagement across all titles. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in public relations and/or marketing for a video game developer or publisher, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global communications strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead internal communications efforts for Bethesda employees, in partnership with Bethesda leadership.
  • Head up Bethesda's brand and reputation opportunities, as well as crisis communications issues.
  • Plan and prepare executives for media moments and speaking opportunities.
  • Work in partnership with Xbox stakeholders to leverage communications opportunities and support Xbox initiatives.
  • Drive and manage the Communications team to ensure AAA communications campaigns that reach new players and delight existing players, for all titles globally.
  • Deliver a cohesive PR plan for every title that includes and aligns with the global Marketing, Community & Events strategy.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including Global Marketing/Comms, Studios, Local Markets, and corporate functions.
  • Establish an effective system of internal reporting and communication throughout the HQ and International offices.
  • Manage and direct PR agency resources.
  • Work with Global Marketing and Xbox stakeholders to align and manage budgets.
  • Build and support the community team by aligning campaign efforts and working more closely together to improve consumer awareness and engagement.
  • Own, develop, and maintain relationships with all external agencies, ensuring the brief and budget guidelines have been met.
  • Retain excellent relationships with all external partners via regular visits and discussions regarding the progress of each agreed campaign.
  • Oversee product press events, particularly featuring senior studio and management staff.
  • Assess campaign effectiveness for all titles and implement new ideas to grow mainstream and digital coverage.
  • Proactive media relationship in partnership with agency and Xbox.
  • Trade show and product demonstration leadership in partnership with Global Marketing, including narrative, demos, and staffing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience working in public relations and/or marketing for a video game developer or publisher is essential.
  • Familiarity with Bethesda products is preferred.

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to articulate concepts, messages, and strategies.
  • Effective organization and planning skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective leadership skills.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
Salary Range
Global PR Director - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $130,000 - $290,000 per year. ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. At ZeniMax, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, such as merit increases and discretionary bonuses. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are not guaranteed.
