About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission to conquer cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Attending Physicians to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients with hematologic and solid tumor oncology conditions.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe therapy and medications, and perform procedures as authorized by DFCI privileges.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in disease center staff meetings, tumor boards, and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree from an AAPA/NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant Studies program.
  • NCCPA Certification and licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts.
  • Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses.
  • 100 hours of CME completed within each 2-year period of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of qualifying professional Physician Assistant experience.
  • Sub-specialty expertise in hematology/oncology.
  • Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior PAs.
