Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Pulmonary and Renal Transplant department at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our transplant programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with pulmonary and renal transplant needs
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including medication management and procedural interventions
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist with renal transplant biopsies and other minor procedures as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree from a graduate-level physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation and Review Committee for Physician Assistants (ARC-PA)
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current valid license to practice as a physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of stress and changing organizational climate
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including ambulatory clinics, inpatient areas, and procedural areas. The position may require heavy lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
