Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify monetary transactions and implement denial resolutions utilizing established collection methodologies.
  • Investigate accounts and supporting documentation to confirm refund legitimacy.
  • Execute adjustments for accurate account reconciliation.
  • Achieve productivity benchmarks for refund processing.
  • Enhance communication across business and clinical teams.
  • Address inquiries in a professional manner and within designated timelines.
  • Engage in meetings, performance enhancement initiatives, and committee activities.
  • Assist with cash management tasks as required.
  • Help resolve financial discrepancies related to cash postings.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in accounts receivable is essential.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in hospital or clinic collections.
  • Understanding of coding regulations and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) interpretation.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with 835 transaction processes for precise refunds.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications.
  • Experience with insurance billing systems is preferred.

Compensation:

Hourly pay range: $22.42
