Key Responsibilities:
- Verify monetary transactions and implement denial resolutions utilizing established collection methodologies.
- Investigate accounts and supporting documentation to confirm refund legitimacy.
- Execute adjustments for accurate account reconciliation.
- Achieve productivity benchmarks for refund processing.
- Enhance communication across business and clinical teams.
- Address inquiries in a professional manner and within designated timelines.
- Engage in meetings, performance enhancement initiatives, and committee activities.
- Assist with cash management tasks as required.
- Help resolve financial discrepancies related to cash postings.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in accounts receivable is essential.
- Minimum of one year of experience in hospital or clinic collections.
- Understanding of coding regulations and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) interpretation.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with 835 transaction processes for precise refunds.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications.
- Experience with insurance billing systems is preferred.
Compensation:
Hourly pay range: $22.42
