Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Pharmacist-Adult Medical Oncology to join our team. The successful candidate will provide clinical pharmacy services, including rounding, limited order verification, and clinical monitoring, to adult medical oncology patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology pharmacy and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Partner with physicians and other providers to provide clinical pharmacy services and promote evidence-based, safe, effective drug therapy.
- Serve as the medication expert to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff by providing drug information and ensuring the optimum use of medications.
- Provide education to patients and healthcare staff on medication management and therapy.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and pharmacy practice.
- Collaborate with ambulatory colleagues to optimize patient transitions of care.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree or BS Pharmacy degree with two years of pharmacy practice experience or acceptable board certification.
- Board certification in Oncology Pharmacy or Pharmacotherapy within one year of hire.
- Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina.
