Position Overview:
This role is integral to the Oncology Services Division, focusing on providing exceptional clinical pharmacy services to adult patients diagnosed with Lymphoma in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to ambulatory Lymphoma patients.
2. Uphold advanced clinical pharmacy skills and demonstrate the importance of pharmacy services in patient care.
3. Educate healthcare professionals, including medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff, on the management and monitoring of therapeutic regimens.
4. Act as a resource for the Department of Pharmacy in areas of expertise.
5. Engage in departmental and hospital committees to enhance practice standards.
6. Contribute to the education of pharmacy students and residents through lectures and research initiatives.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to meet division and departmental objectives.
8. Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
9. Maintain knowledge of departmental programs and function as a vital member of the pharmacy team.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Pharmacy Degree
Experience:
- For BS Pharmacy graduates: Minimum of two years of pharmacy practice experience or completion of an accredited residency program with demonstrated success in patient outcomes.
- For Doctor of Pharmacy graduates: No prior experience required; however, three or more years of oncology clinical practice experience or completion of a PGY2 oncology residency is preferred.
Licensure:
Must be a Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina. Certification as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP) is to be obtained within one year of employment.
