We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Oncology Services Division at Duke University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of ambulatory malignant hematology-lymphoma.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-depth clinical pharmacy services to ambulatory adult lymphoma patients
- Maintain outstanding skills as a clinical pharmacy practitioner and consistently demonstrate the value of pharmacy services
- Educate medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff about the management, prescribing, and monitoring of therapies used in patient care areas of responsibility
- Serve as a resource to the Department of Pharmacy for areas of expertise
- Participate in departmental and hospital committees and initiatives related to practice area
- Contribute to student and resident education
- Provide educational lectures and/or participate in research (Duke, State/Local, National)
- Work with peers to achieve division and departmental goals
- Take responsibility for personal and professional growth
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Pharmacy Degree
- With a BS Pharmacy degree, two years of pharmacy practice experience, or acceptable board certification, or completion of an accredited residency program and demonstrated ability to achieve positive patient outcomes in a similar environment is required
- With Doctor of Pharmacy degree, no experience is required
- Three plus years of oncology clinical practice experience and/or PGY2 oncology residency preferred; BCOP preferred
- Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina
- CPP to be obtained within one year of hire
