This role is accountable for driving outcomes and meeting operational benchmarks as outlined in Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing standardized processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Identifying areas for enhancement and applying structured problem-solving methods to implement effective solutions.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas, focusing on quality, capacity, and cost reduction.
- Diagnosing and addressing bottlenecks in the manufacturing workflow to ensure root cause resolution.
- Collaborating with team members to maintain a well-trained and versatile workforce.
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of associates.
- Ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities while aligning continuous improvement efforts with the company's operational strategy.
- Assisting manufacturing and distribution teams in problem-solving by guiding them through structured methodologies such as 6S and Kaizen.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience: A minimum of five years in a managerial role within a high-volume manufacturing setting is required. Experience leading teams in environments with advanced automated systems is essential. Hands-on management of a diverse workforce in a dynamic environment is necessary.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong command of English, with the ability to comprehend and produce complex written communications.
- Effective presentation skills for both individual and group settings; bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are a plus.
- Analytical abilities to perform necessary mathematical operations related to business functions.
- Logical reasoning skills to follow procedures and solve complex problems.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position include the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. The work environment may involve exposure to varying temperatures and moderate noise levels.
