Job Title: Loss Control Coordinator

The New Mexico Municipal League/New Mexico Self-Insurers' Fund is seeking a highly skilled Loss Control Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in empowering internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate hazards in the workplace, reducing losses and protecting members and organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct risk management and safety assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and deliver risk management and safety training programs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Network and build relationships with insurance agents, regulatory authorities, and industry organizations to optimize resources for members.
  • Contribute to the development of programs, plans, and metrics to achieve substantive change within the organization.
  • Maintain expertise in risk management and safety principles through ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a Risk Management/Safety position.
  • Professional/industry certifications preferred: CHSP, CSHO, ASP, ARM, CRM, CSP or related course of study.
Working Conditions:

The New Mexico Self-Insurers' Fund maintains general office conditions with light physical demands. Employees are required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including building and cyber security. Travel is required over 30% of the time, and non-office environments may be encountered for offsite presentations and organizational activities.

Compensation:

The pay range is $60,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, including automatic 10 percent retirement contribution from the employer, and up to an additional 8 percent matching contribution.
