Bernards is seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing our comprehensive insurance and risk management program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Insurance Program Administration: Administer our comprehensive insurance program, including general liability, auto liability, workers' compensation, contractor's professional and pollution liability, property, cyber, executive risks, subcontractor default, etc.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, process improvements, and best practices to reduce risk and control losses.
  • Policy Renewals and Reviews: Work with our captive insurer on policy renewals, purchase coverages, claims reviews, etc.
  • Insurance Bid Specifications: Create insurance bid specifications that our insurance broker can market to provide appropriate coverage on a project basis and/or company-wide.
  • Claims Management: Manage and resolve insurance claims from inception through resolution.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and lead our insurance claims management and corporate insurance program teams.
  • Risk Management and Training: Educate employees on important risk management topics and emerging risks through in-house training.
