About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Consultant to join our team at BBSI. As a Risk Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping our business-owner clients maximize their investment in human capital through the establishment of best practices in enterprise risk management and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to our business-owner clients and internal team of experts in risk management and occupational health and safety.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies that positively impact client and BBSI initiatives and profitability.
  • Partner with client companies to educate and influence them on matters involving the promotion of a proactive risk management culture, occupational health and safety, and behavior-based safety.
  • Conduct facility, job site, and pre-construction surveys to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regulatory compliance consultations and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Develop and implement return-to-work programs and implement safety champion identification and development.
  • Train-the-trainer occupational safety programs.
Requirements
  • Results-focused, accountable, motivated, and highly organized.
  • Solid understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices, including regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting root cause analysis for risk mitigation.
  • Ability to benchmark, measure, analyze, and articulate the value of risk management initiatives, practices, and policies.
  • At least 10 years of risk management, occupational health and safety, and regulatory compliance experience required.
  • Ideal candidate will have a professional certification(s) such as CSP, ARM, RPIH, CHMM, CIH, Six Sigma, or an equivalent certification.
  • Desirable for candidate to have operation or consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to write, develop, and deliver successful presentations to individuals and groups at all levels of an organization.
  • Extensive Microsoft Office experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to use your own vehicle, proof of automobile insurance meeting BBSI coverage criteria.
  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $90,000-110,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications, and other qualifications of the candidate. This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.

The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, health savings account, flexible savings account, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, accidental death and dismemberment, life insurance, voluntary life insurance, voluntary disability insurance, voluntary accident, voluntary critical care, voluntary hospital indemnity, legal, identity & fraud protection, commuter benefits, pet insurance, employee stock purchase program, and an employee assistance program.

Paid Time Off: 40 hours of paid sick leave annually (additional sick/front loading/accrual, if any, based on state or regional requirements); vacation accrues up to 80 hours in the first year, up to 120 hours in years 2-4, and up to 160 hours in the fifth year; 6 paid holidays annually, 4 paid volunteer days annually.
