Dynamic Educational Systems Inc is dedicated to empowering young individuals, ages 16-24, through education and training in the most promising industries. Our mission is to equip eligible youth with essential skills for employability and independence, facilitating their journey towards meaningful careers or further education. We provide access to housing and essential resources while they acquire skills in targeted training areas for a duration of up to three years. Our program supports high school completion, career training, transitional services, and job placement assistance. Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce, pursue apprenticeships, continue their education, or enlist in the military.

Role Purpose: The Residential Advisor is tasked with guiding students to foster positive living environments and achieve program objectives, adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates student development of positive attitudes and appropriate behaviors in dormitory settings, aiding them in achieving self-management skills.
  • Identifies and recommends student visits to counselors as necessary.
  • Monitors dormitories and the center to ensure student safety and appropriate conduct, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Assists in organizing recreational activities for students both on and off-site.
  • Prepares reports and other documentation related to student activities.
  • Guides students in maintaining cleanliness and order in the dormitory.
  • Conducts group sessions as scheduled and maintains necessary documentation; participates in Career Preparation Period (CPP) activities as assigned.
  • Provides mentorship in social skills and self-management.
  • Models and promotes a positive cultural environment within the center.
  • Reports any breaches of ethical conduct.
  • Identifies and communicates any health and safety concerns.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in behavioral sciences is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years in counseling, social work, rehabilitation, or vocational guidance, particularly with youth.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to exemplify the Career Success Standards (CSS) through appropriate behavior modeling, mentoring, and monitoring of student conduct.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Must provide I-9 documentation to verify work authorization in the United States.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Additional Requirements: A valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage are mandatory.
