Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team as a Clinical Nurse II. In this role, you will deliver high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting, utilizing your technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills to manage routine patient assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient care needs and learning needs in routine oncology patient populations.
  • Review lab diagnostic data and incorporate it into your assessment.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) monitoring to maintain or improve care of Oncology patient population.
  • Plan patient care and education based on disease process, anticipated patient outcomes, complications of treatment, and psycho-social needs in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
  • Initiate and follow through with appropriate referrals to other interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in use of technical skills as required (i.e., IV therapy equipment utilization, universal precautions, body mechanics).
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Valid CA RN license required.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • One (1) year of critical care experience in their specialty required. Excellent IV skills required. Chemotherapy infusion experience strongly desired. Oncology nursing experience preferred.
