Core Responsibilities:
  • Assist existing clients with policy updates, quotes, payments, inquiries, and necessary documentation.
  • Handle customer communications regarding new or existing insurance policies and manage all claims, including after-hours claims.
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs, gather essential information, explore policy options, present alternatives, finalize and secure new coverage, and negotiate with insurance carriers as required.
  • Schedule appointments or client discussions to review current policies, assess liability limits and exposures, identify additional coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, and facilitate renewals.
  • Provide detailed information about products and services, quote new business, process renewals or cancellations, accept payments, and supply requested documentation.
  • Resolve product or service concerns by clarifying client issues, identifying root causes, selecting and explaining optimal solutions, expediting corrections, and ensuring follow-up for resolution.
  • Review audits or policies for accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of client interactions and transactions, documenting inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, share expertise, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Possess the required insurance license for the state of Texas and have a minimum of two years of experience in insurance account management within an Independent Insurance Agency.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage and service assigned clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with solid mathematical and reading abilities.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while resolving complex issues independently.
  • Possess strong time management skills, a sense of personal accountability, and proficiency in technology, including agency management systems and carrier website navigation.
