Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service to current clients by updating policies, providing quotes, processing payments, answering inquiries, and supplying necessary documentation.
  • Handle customer communications regarding new or existing insurance policies and manage all claims, including after-hours claims.
  • Engage with prospective clients to assess their needs, gather relevant information, research policy options, present alternatives, finalize coverage, cancel outdated policies, and negotiate with carriers as needed.
  • Schedule appointments or client calls to review current policies, assess liability limits and exposures, explore additional coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, and manage renewals.
  • Provide detailed information about products and services, quote new business, process renewals or cancellations, handle payments, and deliver requested documentation.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying customer concerns, identifying the root cause, selecting the best solution, expediting corrections, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Review audits or policies for accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions, documenting inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise, and participate in meetings as required.

Qualifications
  • Possess the insurance license mandated by the state of Texas and have a minimum of two years of experience in insurance account management within an Independent Insurance Agency.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage and write assigned clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent phone etiquette; possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficient math and reading abilities.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and follow up, while managing challenging situations with clients and resolving complex issues independently.
  • Showcase excellent time management skills with a mindset of personal accountability, along with proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software and carrier website navigation.
