Overview

This role is a highly visible HR business partner supporting a customer and site in a multifaceted role for human resource programs, processes, and associate relations. The successful candidate will effectively partner with local leadership to guide day-to-day decisions about people and foster behaviors consistent with Saddle Creek's values.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with local leadership to guide day-to-day decisions about people and foster behaviors consistent with Saddle Creek's values.
  • Manage associate relations, performance management, investigations, recruitment, and selection.
  • Educate teams on company and legal requirements and ensure compliance across HR functions.
  • Manage Human Resources Coordinators supporting assigned facilities whose responsibilities include hourly recruiting and onboarding, hourly time keeping and compensation, and general HR administration within the facility.
  • Support employee development at all levels.
  • Coach individuals and teams to higher performance.
  • Identify and implement improvements in HR effectiveness and processes.
  • Facilitate change management and assist with start-ups.
  • Promote effective two-way communications.
  • Personally contribute to achievement of business goals.
  • Ability to travel for business needs (up to 20% as needed).
Qualifications

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, PHR preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in HR roles with increasing responsibilities, some of which must have included HR generalist responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a non-union environment and executing union avoidance measures and tactics.
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or similar industry preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.

  • Ability to identify issues and implement solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to adapt those skills to the audience.
  • Knowledge of HR labor and employment law, and the ability to interpret, apply, and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge or experience in Workday preferred.
