Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of production and facility equipment. This position encompasses a variety of tasks, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Adherence to safety protocols and the implementation of predictive and preventative maintenance strategies are essential to achieving Fitesa's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance to ensure safety and operational effectiveness.
  • Perform failure analysis and execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues effectively.
  • Document modifications and maintenance activities in the designated tracking system.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or a related field.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.

Technical Skills:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
  • Basic proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and internal tracking software.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and production schedules.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent lifting and moving of materials, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods and performing physical tasks in varying temperatures.
