Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Manager will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Environmental Services department, ensuring an efficient and timely delivery of service to patients, family members, staff, and visitors. This role will also be responsible for managing compliance with all EVS and EOC regulations and standards, as well as scheduling staff to provide coverage of all necessary assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage compliance with all EVS and EOC regulations and standards
  • Schedule staff to provide coverage of all necessary assignments
  • Identify future work and plan appropriate resources
  • Assist in formulating and implementing goals and objectives for the department
  • Maintain compliance with departmental programs
  • Perform rounds of assigned areas to check environmental conditions
  • Coordinate receipt, distribution, completion, and follow-up of work orders
  • Assess and recommend environmental improvements
  • Assist the EVS Director in preparation of budgets
  • Drive team member engagement and patient experience initiatives
  • Monitor and justify significant monthly variances
  • Authorize benefit time for staff
  • Update and approve payroll
  • Oversee and advise on environmental concerns
  • Oversee and direct waste management issues
  • Ensure department equipment is maintained in proper working and sanitary condition
  • Participate in all aspects of staff training
  • Perform all activities relative to employee performance and behavior
  • Direct and supervise the work activities of all supervisors
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Business, Health Care, Hotel Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Housekeeping or Facilities Management
