Job Summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Pathologist Assistant II to join our team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As a key member of our Department of Anatomic Pathology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our surgical pathology specimens.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate accession records and verify specimen identity
  • Assist pathologists and residents in processing, dissection, and description of gross anatomic findings
  • Perform computer data entry and verification procedures
  • Report to Supervisor and perform duties as assigned
Requirements
  • PA Certification by a minimum standards exam, such as the Board of Certification (ASCP) or equivalent, or 5 years of experience as a Pathology Assistant
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in biological, chemical sciences, or health science-related field
  • Master of Arts or Science (Preferred)
