The Staff Level II Speech and Language Pathologist is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for evaluating, treating, and discharging patients referred for therapy services. As an integral healthcare provider, you will assist patients to progress to their highest level of function, working in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.
Essential Functions:- Provide comprehensive therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.
- Participate in student education for part-time or full-time students, as well as orientation and preceptorship of new or rotating staff.
- Complete education, teaching, and professional activities commensurate with position.
- Develop and deliver treatment programs that help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate, utilizing tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and trainings.
- Record and document clients/patients' health progress information for evaluation, including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- 2 years of clinical practice required.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- State License required.
- CPR certification required.
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
