Pathologist Assistant Supervisor

The Supervisor Pathologist Assistant oversees operations in critical areas of the anatomic pathology, including specimen receipt, gross room, autopsy, and biobanking activities. This role involves overseeing and participating in all aspects of the work, including frozen sections, grossing, autopsies, and leading the teaching of pathology residents and students.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Quality Assurance

- Ensures accreditation readiness

- Leads teaching of pathology residents and students
- Operational Management
- Oversees operations in critical areas of the anatomic pathology
- Ensures efficient and effective workflow
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits
- Master of Science or Master of Health Science Degree from a NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant program (Preferred)
- Experience
- 4 Years experience working as a non-certified pathologist assistant in a cancer center laboratory, high volume private practice/community hospital, or academic medical center
- 2 Years experience as a certified pathologist assistant (Preferred)
All placements at Temple Health require vaccination or an agency-approved medical or religious exemption for COVID-19.
