Medical Office Assistant

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in our Primary and Specialty care settings. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with licensed physicians and mid-level providers to deliver top-notch healthcare services to our community.
Key Responsibilities
• Receives patients and their families, directing them to the appropriate place
• Answers telephones promptly and politely
• Schedules appointments and files pertinent information within patient records
• Obtains insurance prior authorizations and inputs charges on patient accounts
• Verifies patient insurance upon registration and assists with billing
• Obtains and documents vital signs on patients, acts as a chaperone for the provider when needed, and assists with minor procedures
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent and at least 6 months of clinical experience as a nursing assistant or related field
• Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills
• Medical Assistant Certification or medical assistant experience preferred
